Brash Entertainment, which developed games based on Hollywood studio films, is ceasing operations.

The games it produced (described below) didn't meet with much success, perhaps for obvious reasons.

The overall lesson here is that gamers want originality and games crafted with passion, not the console equivalent of Happy Meal toys.

Variety reports that the developer simply "was simply out of cash," after investors who had committed $400 million to the fledgling developer decided to take their funds elsewhere.

In the short time that Brash was in operation, they crafted quality gems like Alvin and the Chipmunks, the rhythm game, and another gem based on that Space Chimps movie. Coincidentally enough, none of their titles have been very successful.
