My works are basically to voice out against censorship as censorship does not actually protect the public. it only harms the public by preventing them from knowing the truth.
the danger of this is that the public can still think, they can still imagine, and they will imagine their own truths... here, they can fantasize about movie stars but what about the censorship of political news like 6-4? how will these rampant imaginations affect governments? can the government control our thoughts? if they cannot, then what are they in effect controlling? what are the consequences of this lack of control? will it be even worse?
these works also question 'is the HONG KONG public intelligent enough to think truthfully for themselves?', are they smart enough to doubt the 'truths' that the news and publishers give them. i do not doubt some are, i hope you are. BUT we do know also that many are not.
