Canon EOS 40D w/Canon EF 100 f2.8 Macro USM

Normally I wouldn't upload outright pornography, but sometimes, well, your hormones run the show.

This is what I chose to upgrade from my Olympus E20N after years of shooting and snooping different cameras; I look forward to a lot of really enjoyable picture taking, I feel like there's a good balance of bang for the buck with this camera body, and having the entire EF line of lenses available... you can't argue with that.

This just arrived today; all I have so far are the camera, the macro lens, a 2 GB compact flash card and a spare BP-511A battery. The camera came with a charger that I hope/presume will charge the BP-511A.

I still need to get a "regular" lens, something with a zoom and a non-macro configuration. But I like to shoot close, so I thought I'd start with this. Besides, the macro can serve as a medium telephoto — as long as you can get away from the subject matter, you can get a good shot at a slower speed.
