Change Management: Believe in Your Ability to Manage Change!
The quality of your leadership in managing change can be traced back to the quality of your choices. A change can cause turbulence in your life and work. Every day you have choice as to which path you will take. Take one path and it will take you to one destination. Choose another and it will take you to an entirely different place. Ultimately, in the final analysis it is the choices you make in responding to a change that will decide your course. This will be covered in detail in change management course.
The ageless law of cause and effect always prevails. The level of your success in handling individual, team or top level change to what activities and initiatives you choose to focus on. The kind of team that you have to chosen to surround yourself with. What opportunities you have chosen to seize. The kind of thoughts you have chosen to allow entering your mind. Thinking is like walking down a footpath. If you have chosen the right path and have the self discipline to do so you will reach where you intended to go. But if you take the wrong one you can be certain you will never reach your predetermined destination. Change management training will ensure that you never choose a wrong path while facing a change.
In this era of change you cannot afford to let a negative thought enter your mind. The more you travel down a negative path, the more familiar it will become. The more it will feel that this path for you. The result of walking down such a path is well known. It will lead you to stress and strain. That will not enable you to take the correct decision whilst change makes an appearance in your life or project. Change management course teaches you to identify change before it actually becomes an issue.
The funeral pyre burns the dead while worry burns the living. Do not therefore let negative thoughts about change overshadow your mind. Do not give more energy to them. Refuse to go down that path and quickly adapt to change. It will make a world of difference to the way you will respond and face a change. Change management training will train you in keeping a stable and clear mind whilst handling change.
Mark Twain used to say, “I have had a lot of troubles in my life, some of them actually happened.” It is the way you think about a change that causes you to succeed or fail. It is simply speaking cause and effect theory. Change is nature’s way of ensuring that things evolve and improve. Rather than fighting the change, you have to learn to pre-empt it and then adapt to it. You as a leader have to evolve to the challenge of change. You have to adapt to this fast changing business world and focus on worldwide opportunities it presents. You have to stop blaming change and become part of it. As Mahatma Gandhi said, “Be the change you want to be”. A change management practitioner will have that self belief and be capable of doing that.
