After achieving technological feat in many sectors China has earmarked into space technology in a very big way. China has successfully sent unmanned as well unmaneed space flight. They have successfully launched manned space flight.
China has brought forward the launch date of its third manned space flight to late September, a report said on Tuesday.
The launch of Shenzhou VII is now expected to take place between September 17 -- the end of the Beijing Paralympics and China's National Day on October 1, Hong Kong newspaper Wen Wei Po said, citing unnamed sources.
The period offered the best launch window for Shenzhou VII, the source told the Chinese-language newspaper, without giving any more details.
The mission will blast off from China's Jiuquan launch centre in northwest Gansu province and land in northern Inner Mongolia province, Wen Wei Po said.
The launch schedule has been changed several times, with previous Chinese state media reports suggesting October or November launch.
Three "taikonauts" or astronauts will be on board the flight, with one of them conducting China's first space walk, China's official Xinhua news agency said in an earlier report, quoting a spokesman for the mission.
China successfully launched its first man, Yang Liwei, into orbit in 2003, making it the third country after the former Soviet Union and the United States to put a man in space.
It sent two more astronauts into orbit in 2005 on a five-day mission.

Sanjay Jha, I like this story. It's good stuff.
I'm fairly excited about China's space program. I think we've all got so used to NASA putting people in orbit that watching a whole new space-faring country take its first steps is a refreshing spectacle.
It's surely only a matter of time before China becomes a full-partner in the International Space Station.
Here's to them landing on the moon in a few years!

. . . There would seem to be no overt technical reason for changing the launch date, even though one report claimed that launching before October 1 offered "the best launch window", a strange claim for an Earth orbital mission with no rendezvous. The "best launch window" could have nothing to do with weather or engineering. But politics seems to be a likely cause. China has found itself at the centre of global attention, thanks to a very opulent Olympic Games. The Games have also boosted the profile of China's Communist Party to its own population, and stirred national pride. . . .
