There have been happening a lot in 2009 but car companies sell been really big. And Swedish manufacturers been leading all the time – Volvo and SAAB had to find new owners.

As now is clear, Volvo is going into Chinese, Geely, hands. The deal should be finished early next year for round $1.9bn. This will allow Geely to meet fast-growing demand for luxury cars inland and abroad.

But while Volvo is safe, things for SAAB doesn’t look that good. After talks with Koenigsegg ended up and no other bid was placed now company’s future is unclear. Just before Christmas General Motors, current company owner, revealed it’s pans to close SAAB. Will 60 year be enough for SAAB or will company be saved in last minute?
