Chrysler Dealerships Closing: Full List of 789 Dealers
Bankrupt auto giant Chrysler will close 789 dealerships across the US as part of its restructuring plan. This comprises nearly 25% of total dealerships.
Here is the full list of the dealerships Chrysler is planning to eliminate.
Meanwhile, other dealerships are getting word that they've been accepted to sell cars for the company being formed by Fiat and Chrysler under the federal bailout agreement.
Chrysler had a total of 3,181 authorized dealers in operation at the time of its April 30 bankruptcy court filing, according to court filings. Just over half of that number accounted for more than 90% of Chrysler sales, according to the filing.
But Chrysler Canada has no similar plans, a spokeswoman said. "We expect the total number across Canada to remain relatively stable (roughly 450)," Mary Gauthier said in a statement.

What upset my husband concerning these dealership is this: the media was notified prior to the all the dealership being notified; resulting in customers being told their dealership was being closed when it wasn't.
Let me clarify: my husband is the senior auto tech at one of the dealerships on the list. The local media reported this dealership was closing prior to the dealership being notified by Chrysler that they were pulling their Jeep dealership. This has caused issues with customers. The media contacted the owner about the "closing". Therefore, the owner had to scramble to release a public announcement that they were not closing because they carry Subaru as well. The service department would still service Jeep product; however, would have to get parts from another dealership. However, they would not be able to perform warranty work.
Is the Chrysler and the media aware how much income my husbands stands to loose because of their
