All started when banks lent money at fancy rates to sub-prime lenders.

The US economy is far from the recovery stage. The real estate market has crashed and foreclosures are at an all-time high. In Dallas-Fort Worth, for instance, the number of commercial property filings has registered an increase. In fact, the figure jumped by 50 per cent and above in the period between January and August as compared to the corresponding period in ’09. It may be mentioned here that more than 2,500 foreclosures were posted during this time.

According to Foreclosure Listing Service, the commercial market is in a better situation when you compare to the previous years. During the earlier economic downturns, the property market was in a much poorer shape and had really taken a long time to recover.
