Covert and spy cameras can pay for themselves if done right and in the right way.
Covert suveillance is sometimes the only way to watch your assests carefully. People are very crafty at getting around being watched if they know where the cameras are. Take the cash register for example, an overhead dome camera was on all the time. If the employees are able to cover up, you may need a security camera surveillance system in the counter to the side of the register. A mini camera that can catch the slight of hand person in the act and can save cold hard cash every year. Once we suspected a pharmacist due to erroer in pill counts and found he was take pain killers at work and was addicted to them. He was let go and went to a program and years later we did rehire him. Always give people a second chance if they show they have worked on thier problems.
Being in retail and medicine for years and you learn to be very leery of allot of things. But, when its the cash register and it comes right out of your pocket and affects others you employee you have to take action to stop it. Problem is knowing who and when, hter are 5 people in the register and what they don't ring up doesn't show.
We had on small pharmacy whre two people were working, pharmacists and one gal. She was cooking the books by adjusting the daily sheets in a clever way. Showing returns from previous day on credit cards that were bogus and then swiping hers for the refund. Taking the cash and getting the debit to her own credit card. WOW!
We finally caught her with a camera and help from the card company. Keep your eues on your cash.

The story indeed may need improvement, I think the first thing should be this:
Put some spotlight on companies which work with the a "military" experience -
such as Controp for surveillance cameras (they also got aerial reconnaissance but that's a whole other story) - if you take a look at their website you're getting much more info, so focusing on company like that could be more than helpful.
Anyway, thanks Paschen :)
