Alkali Media put together a simple and juvenile soundboard app for the iPhone, only to find it rejected by Apple's mysterious app censors for "objectionable content". After all, The Cupertino-based computer giant has a bit of a history with fickle content standards.

Rather than just walk away, they left the content intact and reskinned the app. With pretty little flowers. Also, the team renamed their project from Crudebox to Prudebox.

After moving past the inevitable feeling of frustration towards Apple, we decided to poke some fun at Apple’s app approval team. What if we were to submit the same sounds as before, except this time around we make the app look extra flamboyant and change the name to the ironically appropriate, Prudebox?

... Result!

And... of course, in Apple's arbitrary wisdom, they approved the new app and added it to the iPhone App Store.
