Data Embedded Glasses for Multi-tasking Professionals

Imagine a doctor reading notes on how to do a certain procedure in the midst of his operation. It might not only endanger the poor patient’s life but also might damage his eyes and concentration as well. Now a German research society developed a pair of eye glasses that can project data right onto the user’s eye. Fraunhofer made a remarkable breakthrough by turning your ordinary eye glasses into an eye-motion controlled PDA screen device.

This data eyeglasses shares the same concept with head-mounted displays in which these displays transport the users into a virtual world or supply data coming from the real environment. So far, this gadget can only display information. This simple application was enhanced further making the glasses bidirectional and interactive making other areas of application possible
