For months now, well basically once Vista launched, every Dell desktop and notebook computer you order came with Windows Vista as the operating system. Now you have an option. If you want, Dell will set your computer up with Windows XP and send you a copy of Vista in case you wish to upgrade at any time.

Microsoft has also been offering a similar option. If you purchased Vista Business or Vista Ultimate, you could call Microsoft and be issued a new activation code to be used on an old XP disc.

If you are concerned, Windows XP will no longer be on store shelves starting June 30th. So be sure to get your copy before then, or buy a Dell machine and let them give you the option.

I recently got a new computer with Vista, aside from a few issues it seems okay.  But time will tell I suppose;
