San Francisco-based grad student Matthew Riese is a Back to the Future fan who's grown impatient with the future's distinct lack of flying cars, and he's spent years working on a flying-DeLorean hovercraft.

If you're wondering how the DeLorean hovercraft project got funded for such a relatively modest price, it's because the hovercraft isn't built around a real DeLorean. It is just a shell. The DeLorean hovercraft is registered as a boat with the California DMV.
One of the commentators remarks, "The wheels are a little odd, don't you think?" Clearly he's unfamiliar with flying DeLoreans, whose wheels have to swivel to accommodate the built-in jets. Where we're going, we don't need roads...
