Classic Game Room HD - JOUST for Xbox Live review

Photos

Paramount Pictures has snapped up a pitch titled "Atari," with Leonardo DiCaprio attached to star.

Written by Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman, project is a biopic about entrepreneur Nolan Bushnell, the creator of Atari and one of the founding fathers of the vidgame industry.

DiCaprio will produce via his Appian Way shingle.

I'll check this film out if -and only if- it features footage of Joust and Dig Dug: two of the finest games ever crafted by human hands.

Costume spotted at the 2008 Starlight Run in Portland.
(Main console was a huge refrigerator box. They also had a few "games," with a Pac-Man being chased by the ghosts........and a "Pong" setup.)
Very creative.......and it won first-place in the costume contest.

Well, basically, I put this sticker in my closet when I was 6/7 years old and it's there since that day :)

This is an authentic Computer Space machine. Developed by Nolan Bushnell, and released in 1971, Computer Space was the first commercial arcade machine.

Photograph of Nolan Bushnell taken at the Classic Gaming Expo (Las Vegas) in 2003. There's always a good reason to visit the show (as someone from the UK) and that year happened to be Bushnell himself.

This is the control panel of my MAME that my dad and I built about 3 summers ago. Building this is something I will remember for the rest of my life. I feel so proud of the job we did and the time we spent together.

Nolan Bushnell, with son, Brent, greet a meeting of the Los Angeles Geek Dinner at their newly opened restaurant, uWink, in Woodland Hills, California. Listen to an audio interview with Nolan Bushnell on My Word with Douglas E. Welch

If it's made any where near as good as Fistfull of Quarters, the Donkey Kong documentary, then I'll be stoked to see it.

If you look closely you can spot my working Atari 7800 - just under the old Apple IIc monitor. I like to keep it close by so that I can play when I get a sudden urge.

This sounds like a great idea.  I have been an Atari fan for more than 25 years.  My original 800XL still works and I fire it up occasionally.

Found my 7800 ProSystem at the dump in town, someone had just gotten rid of it. It's in such good shape it still has the protective plastic on the aluminum trim on the console and both controllers.

I've got a bunch of 2600 games, and the only one that doesn't work is my favorite - Space Invaders.  I still need paddle controllers to play half of them.
