Did Jose Canseco Delete His Twitter Account on April 24, 2012? His Page Is Gone But It Could Be Back

We don't want to overstate things, but this could be the worst thing to ever happen in the history of the internet.

There are reports that Jose Canseco has deleted his much-beloved Twitter account. In case you hadn't heard, Jose Canseco's Twitter account was the best thing to happen to the internet since keyboard cat, providing endless hours of entertainment for young and old alike..

Over the last few months, Jose Canseco has used his Twitter account to tell us that Al Gore is dead  (RIP bro) and that global warming could have saved the Titanic or something like that

On April 24, 2012, some noticed that Jose Canseco's Twitter account seems have to been deleted. A quick search for the page Tuesday afternoon found that the page was down.

Did Jose Canseco Delete His Twitter Account?

A rep for Jose Canseco (and you think your job sucks) told writer Amy K. Nelson that Jose did not delete his account.

"Jose Canseco's rep just told me @JoseCanseco did not delete his account & that his rep is trying "to figure this out."

Jose Canseco trying to figure out how the internet works? That could take a while.

UPDATE: We were wrong. It didn't take long for Jose to get back up and running. His Twitter account is back up. His first tweet:

"Some aliens deleted my acc."

We missed you, buddy.
