Did You Get My Text?

I took this photo as my friend urgently checked his messages while we were out for supper. I thought it was interesting that we, a group of 20-somethings, had our cell phones at arms reach throughout the evening, compulsively checking for missed calls and/or messages. Text messaging is a new media, almost replacing emailing. As we text message, we learn and accept new technology that companies have imposed upon us. We learn something about our society each time we click on the keypad. Text messaging teaches us that we are living in an ever-evolving culture where advances in technologies are expected from the creators and users.
