Did you Get what You Paid For? Where is the Money Going?

The last shopping occurrence I really felt like I was taken for a ride is when we ordered a Rocking Pony for my then toddler son.
The price was high and the quality average, it left a bad taste in my mouth.
I also wondered where the money I paid for it was going.
I could not help asking myself how much or how little those who actually built the thing got for their labor.

The same thing happens in many other daily experiences.

How much is the guy cutting your lawn, the maid you hired through a service or the hard working person sweating it out in many restaurants getting paid?
