The world of cloud computing has received a lot of attention recently, in no small part due to Microsoft’s announcement of the Windows Azure platform.
This is not a new idea from MS, One of my professors in col ... many many years ago handed us an article from MS that had this idea in it .. and heard about it again while working for HP befor the Inet crash honestly it doesnt seem much more than citrix or MS terminal services.. I'm IT among many other hats (jack of all master of none).. we use citrix and dumb terminals. so what would be the difference walking around with a dump laptop connected via cellular (3g or better?) with the OS provided by a server or cloud on the internet? Heck I can't even get away from win 98 (one of our requried progs have to run on it) so not sure what can and can't be done in the future.
