Dragon Age: Origins Gay Elf Sex Scene Video Raises Eyebrows

Video game lovers who love digging around for bonus footage may be surprised while playing “Dragon Age: Origins.” The game features a hidden gay sex scene between elves. The 'Dragon Age: Origins Gay Elf Sex Scene' features two men in various sex positions.

The scene starts with the Grey Warden asking warrior elf Zevran, "Can you join me in my tent?" Zevran talks about his killing prowess, and Grey Warden replies, "I bet you're good at a lot of things."

The elf responds, "Mmmm, that's quite an offer, especially coming from another man – if we are both speaking of the same thing."

If the user directs the character to say, "I suspect we are," then the two character have sex.

Reactions to the Dragon Age gay sex scene tend to fall into two categories: those who are outraged by it, those who commend it as progressive.

A clip of the scene posted on YouTube three weeks ago has garnered more than 230,000 views and hundreds of comments. One commenter called the scene a “deranged homo-propaganda campaign.” Another said the scene is meant “to promote gayness to youth” – though the game is rated M for mature, meaning for players 17 and older – while another called it “disgusting” and “filthy.”

With this bare-chested and unflinching portrayal, it feels as if the depiction of gay sex in video games has reached a new level of equal treatment. This is more than just a mincing gay pirate (Temple of Elemental Evil) or an evasive fade-to-black: there's choreography, tenderness, humor and even an element of sexual politics to Zevran's post-coital conversation. Kudos to BioWare for adding a bit of a gay storyline to their game and for dealing with gay romance as even-handedly as they do the heterosexual options

Of course, there is a third way to look at the Dragon Age gay sex scene. The campy dialogue and jerky animation is something you can laugh at with ironic glee.

Are you for real??! Are you so naive to think that anyone gets a "distorted mind" or becomes gay from watching a silly clip of an ELF (an imaginary creature) having pretend sex with a male knight? Also, the game is only for sale and intended for individuals 17 an older, and if you can show me one person the planet who is 17 years or older who hasn't heard of gay sex or who does not understand what it entails, then I will show you a bridge in Brooklyn that I would like to sell to you.I don't care that you object to gay sex because that is not the issue. The issue is that you are so unsophisticated and silly that you think a very restrained fantasy scene in a VIDEO GAME (i.e. it's NOT real) makes people gay or "distorts" minds. The game is intended for older individuals, and if you are a parent who objects to it, then you should have good enough parenting skills to prevent access to it by your child. If your child is bringing rated M video games or rated R movies into your home without your knowledge or permission, then you are a bad parent and you probably should have your parental rights terminated by a court.

I stand up in applause.. Couldn't have said it better. Nobody even stopped at the masses of people and creatures that you slaughter in the game, that's 'just a game', but when sex appears, suddenly everyone is on their feet.. Sex is a healthy part of our lives, contrary to violence so really such a video can't 'distort the mind' of even a minor. Surely not more than being distorted by the violence in the game.. But people are less afraid of their child becoming a murderer, than of the child being gay. And that's just sad.

You can have sex with almost any of the characters in the game, if you get your reputation with them up, enough. It's not easy.Leliana and Zhevran are the two bisexual characters. It's not a "hidden sex scene". There are tons of sex scenes in this video game. This guy just happened to be a male character pursuing a male NPC romance option.LOL OMG SECRET SEX SCENENot??

The game is rated to be one of the top game of the previous year 2009. It also deploys a new gaming engine- Eclipse. The game is a product of BioWare's Edmonton studio. btw, there are not "lots" of sex scenes. there are four, one for each of the 4 romance options, that really only show two people from the waist up, with undies on. none of the scenes are hidden, they just depend on who your romancing. yes sex is talked about in the game, but in a healthy, refreshing way. and yeas, there is gay romance options, as well as hetero ones...it all depends on your own choices. Morrigan and Alistair are the two hetero choices, and Leliana and Zevran are the bisexuals. And the game approaches it all in a very decent, open, realistic way.
