DrupalCon 2009 is underway in Washington, DC. This unofficial event is the best place for Drupal developers and the people who love them to meet in person, discuss ongoing projects, share innovations, and collaborate to tackle new tasks as they work towards building out the strange and wondrous beast that is Drupal.

NowPublic is Drupal-based, and we are very proud to have two of our dev-team stars, kkaefer and nk, speaking at the event. Konstantin Käfer (kkaefer) will be presenting on topics ranging from typography and layout to javascript optimization and widgets. Karoly Negyesi (that's chx to you) will be discussing dev-forward stuff like callbacks, scalability and the future of parallel computing. If I were in DC, I'd probably need a dictionary for that one. Our humble site is one of the test-beds for these guys' bleeding-edge work, and we love to see them get recognized.
