I have worked for General Motors for 30 years. During my 30 yrs. at General Motors, I took my job seriously, I worked very hard, every single day, I have been retired since 2001, my pension check is still the same today as it was back then. I can't even go get groceries any more, I eat animal crackers now, and I have to make my meatloaf dinner last for 3 days.
Is this what you have to do? Do you eat the same dinner for 3 days? Do you or your wife still get groceries at the store? Do you meet your friends for dinner a couple times a week? Did you ever have your cable shut off because you couldn't pay your bill? Did you ever have to stay home because you had no money to go anywhere?
Well, I have. And it's all because of you. You made sure that your life and family were well taking care of and made your bank account nice and full. If it wasn't for me and my fellow workers, you wouldn't have a job.
Trade places with me for a day, and you'll see what I'm talking about. Better yet, let's trade pay checks . See how it feels to live on what I make. I haven't had a raise in 8 years, and you know as well as I do, the cost of living has sky rocketed. I want to live like a normal person. I need more money in my pension check so that I can go and buy a General Motors car and some groceries.
You can make any car you want, if you don't increase our pensions we won't be able to afford to buy the cars we make, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Every car off that assembly line will just sit there because we have no money to buy those cars.
So please understand what I am trying to say, it's plain logic.
I'm sick of 3 day old meatloaf, I want to go and buy groceries like I used to.

Here's an idea, try cooking a smaller meatloaf. Then you'll only have to eat one or two day old meatloaf.

To Ms. Private...
Thanks, but no thanks. I've been living that way for over 20 years, mostly due to the thanks of YOU and your cronies demanding and getting their $40+ an hour demands. Should have saved like the rest of the world... union loser.
