PROJECT NATAL E3 TRAILER MICROSFT PRESS CONFERENCE 06_01_09 [High Quality]

Nintendo is taking it easy at E3 2009, because their core demographic doesn't know what E3 2009 is.
The underlying question which will define which gaming platform will woo your eyeballs and wallet: Do you consider yourself a gamer?

If you're shaking your head, and saying no, then you're likely in the target demographic for Nintendo's Wii.  If your's nodding emphatically and going, "hell, yeah", then Microsoft and Sony are pushing you toward Xbox 360 and PS3.

Sony showed off a new microphone-looking controller similar to that of the Wii, while Microsoft debuted its Project Natal motion-control system for Xbox 360. Meanwhile, Nintendo showed off some new Wii Fit equipment but no new bleeding-edge tech. Perhaps this is because Nintendo's profits are up, whereas their competitors are still seeking to make up lost ground.

The controller was also applied to the usual sports areas such as baseball and tennis, but things got a bit more interesting when Marx picked up a second controller and began reaching into the world on screen to manipulate objects in a room, use a bow and arrow (which became more accurate when he crouched), shoot a Desert Eagle, and even wield a sword and shield.

However, both Microsoft and Sony realize that complex controllers are barriers to entry, and have heavily pushed their own motion control systems at this year's event.

Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo all recognize that casual gamers are what drives the industry these days. The success of the Wii, and especially the Wii Fit board, are proof positive of this.
