one of my goals in moving to Japan was to experience an earthquake. (is that strange?)

Well... it happened today!!

A magnitude 6.9 earthquake about 200km south-east of Takikawa (just off the coast of Obihiro) hit at 9:20 this morning.

...I was taking a shit at the time.
