Economic Darwinism: Fuel Price Hikes & Budget Airlines

I wondered how the consistent rise in fuel prices would affect easyJet, RyanAir, and other budget airlines... turns out that easyJet is offloading its lower-efficiency aircraft, but one wonders who would buy Perhaps bartering it on craigslist?

Easyjet is planning to rein back its breakneck growth in light of the soaring oil price but still intends to add 43 aircraft to its fleet over the next two years as it cranks up the pressure on weaker rivals.

Andy Harrison, the low-fare airline’s chief executive, said that with oil topping $120 a barrel, the carrier would accelerate the disposal of its older, less fuel-efficient aircraft. It now plans to dispose of 30 Boeing 737s “at the earliest opportunity” and has put up for sale eight Airbus A321s, that came with £104m purchase of GB Airways.

I wonder if this "NowPublic" could be read in spanish,it sounds interesting, and I think our language is one of the most spoken in the world.
It is a shame that all the spanish speaking people couldn´t have this opportunity.
Greetings from Malaga,Spain.

This image was taken from an Easy Jet plane on a Stansted-Malaga flight. the shot is taken just as the plane drops down outside Malaga above the reservoirs on the mountain top. the bright orange Easy Jet engine is clearly visible to the left of image. the price of this flight destination has doubled in the 2 years since this photo was taken, price rises due mainly to fuel costs and the strength of the Euro v UK pound.

Planes mean not necessarily troubles, noise or pollution. In some way, few of them are true works of art that a good shot can transform in a joy for the eyes. Just like in this case, I hope.
