Voting in the House right now. On CSPAN, worse than a football game.
Nays lead. But it seems they were only voting on a Senate amendment with an amendment. whatever that means.

Even though 98 Dems voted no, Pelosi blames The Republicans for the failure. What will come if we do nothing? Maybe folks will not get loans for new cars.. ok drive your old car. No Loans for new Homes... ok stay in your old home. No retail credit. Ok buy what you can afford. Bottom line here is if we do nothing Americans may learn to live within their means.. my Gosh how terrible it would be if people had to put 20% down on items or save for that bew TV. America is so stuck on credit retailers and banks want it to be a crisis. Well the way I see it, this whole thing may turn out to be what America needed to get us to stop having the, "Buy now pay later" behavior that has got us into a debter nation status.
Sine when did the Democrats beleive in trickle down economics anyway. All I am hearing the last few weeks is that if we dont bail out wall street jobs will suffer. Oh so it is true that the rich, when they have money provide jobs for America.
Let Wall street bail themselves out. No one was around in 2000 when the internet bubble burst and my company lost 58 thousand dollars due to bankrupt compaines not paying me what they owed. I had to absorb the loss. Uncle sam was not calling me on the phone and saying... Hey Al we are here to bail you out because you provide jobs and interject money into the economy and pay taxes on your profits. No call came.
The idea that was perpertrated by the Democrats that every American had a right to own a home and pushed the mortgage entities to give loans to folks who were not able to maintain payments is what has caused this problem. When government interjects intself into the economy this is the outcome. I say you don't get my money for your failures. America just doesn't work that way. Sorry Uncle Sam and Wall Street. This is your failure, not mine. John McCain, Bush, Pelosi, Reid, and Obama need to shut their mouths and listen to the thousands of people who do not wnat this and drop it. It is a loser for the American people and we don't need to take on other peoples debt. a Trillion dollars in the hands of one man with oversight from former wallstreet folks... you have got to be kidding me.
Wall street has come back today and recouped almost half of what they lost yesturday... crisis my ass
