If you live in Los Angeles or perhaps a visitor seeking to be thrilled in the 'entertainment capital of the world,' the best free show you may ever witness in your lifetime will be happening just 1,500 feet above your head on Friday morning, September 21.

That's when NASA's space shuttle Endeavour plans to dip low in a historic aerial tour of greater Los Angeles and its popular tourist attractions.

Following a flyover of northern California and areas of the Los Angeles basin, the ferried spacecraft will reach Los Angeles' official airspace at about 10:30 a.m., where it is slated to become a low rider, circling the region, before touching down at the southern end of Los Angeles International Airport roughly an hour later.
