Facebook chief financial officer Gideon Yu is leaving the company after less than two years on the job. The social networking megalith is looking for a new CFO, if you think you're up to it.

Financial types are still abuzz over what this means for a potential Facebook IPO.

Mr. Yu, who joined Facebook in 2007, was previously the chief financial officer of YouTube, now a Google Inc. unit. He couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Mr. Yu is the latest in a string of executives to depart the five-year-old company, whose employees and investors remain anxious about when and whether it will go public.

What a coup it will be if Facebook ends up going public in this climate — and without a CFO!

Fingers crossed.
