In the aftermath the IPO filling it has been sourced that Facebook now accounts for 20% of pages viewed in the US. That means for every five pages someone is looking on the web one of those is a Facebook page.

The data was compiled from a January report for last month so is still timely. It demonstrates how huge the social network has become in its birth country which is important as growth has slowed in that market. This data points to possible saturation because of that and also explains Google's passion toward promoting Google+ at the cost of their other services on account of the size of this market.
