Fahmi Fadzil had claimed that Female Magazine had discriminated against his friend, a pregnant employee of the company. While he retracted the claim, BluInc had already sicced its lawyers on him. Initially, BluInc wanted Fadzil to buy newspaper ads in which to publicly apologize, but, since Fazil couldn't afford them, Twitter was agreed upon as a viable alternative.

Adding insult to injury, the tweet that Fahmi Fadzil must tweet includes ALLCAPS. Oh, the indignity. As of this post, Fadzil is on tweet #29.

30/100 I've DEFAMED Blu Inc Media & Female Magazine. My tweets on their HR Policies are untrue. I retract those words & hereby apologize

We see that Fadzil is using HootSuite, so at least part of the process is automated.

A side-effect of the drawn-out public apology is that Fahmi Fadzil is getting all sorts of new followers. BluInc Media just discovered the Streisand Effect.
