For Lisa,This is the biggest crop we grow in Iowa.In high summer sweet corn stands can be found at every vacant lot and on the country two lanes set up at major intersections.
Field corn is grown for use in all kinds of products from corn syrup, corn meal, and ethanol to be blended in our gasoline.I am sure there are uses I don't even know about ,thats what I can think of off the top of my head.LOL
The second biggest crop is soybeans.I will have to catch those another time, maybe pull in a farm drive and get up close to the fence of a field,LOL
