Financial Terrorists 'Bust Out' America & The Rest of Y'all

WOW! Mark Mitchell is down for anything!  Nobody else would take on the Russian Mob, La Cosa Nostra, the Genovese Crime Family, Al Qaeda, the Albanian Mafia, the Iranian Regime, and close associates of one of America's richest multi-billionaire phonies, convicted felon Michael Milken. I'm sweatin' bullets just readin' the thing. Yeah I know. I should keep my mouth shut too. I can't. There is too much at stake.

While Milken is out schmoozing every politician, reporter, athlete, movie star,  and uber-rich person he can snake his charm at, his "friends" are burning down America. I think of Milken as a smiling magician, showing nothing in his right hand, while his left hand is picking your pocket. Every time he gets caught, his slick PR firm (likely on call 24/7) whitewashes his image. A few days go by and it is business as unusual again. People are short on memory. I know I am. But there are some things I never forget. Human suffering leaves an indelible impression.

I must admit I still have that bone to pick with the milkman. He runs the largest prostate cancer foundation in the world and stayed silent on Provenge, the greatest immunotherapy treatment for prostate cancer, ever. He didn't actually stay silent. Some of his consortium actually spoke out to derail approval, namely Dr. Howard I Scher (who was his lead scientific advisor when the pcf was founded) and Dr. Maha Hussain. Many of his other allies spoke out against approval as well. It was finally approved by the FDA after a 3 year delay, inspite of Milken, but not before 80,000 men died without access. Oh, but then again, he is, or was, one of the largest investors in competing prostate cancer treatments.

Comments are still showing up on the Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) comment page, where we seek payment for this treatment, since the CMS suddenly decided to open up a 1 year review to determine coverage, touting the same party line that Milken's team used to derail approval for 3 years. I don't see any pro coverage comments by the Prostate Cancer Foundation out there. Dang, there I go, I triggering that memory thingy again. Link

I recently saw an interview with a reporter who is on her way back to Afghanistan. When asked why, she said the story needs to be told. My little pea brain is spinning. I am thinking, why the hell doesn't she stay here and cover the financial terrorism that is happening right under her nose. Why aren't any of the reporters here at home covering this story? Had they done their job, it never would have gotten to this point. 'Captured' is the term we use. Deep Captured.

The Loeb award was recently awarded to several US reporters for breaking the Madoff story. Breaking the Madoff story? Cut me a break! 20 years late! Pathetic. While they are back slapping each other, the crooks are robbing us blind. Mitchell deserves the Pulitzer for his exposé.
