Now that Internet Explorer 8 is live and Google Chrome chugs along in beta, Kier Thomas over at PC Magazine has declared, "Firefox is already dead."
Dunno about that, but page load times could certainly make you believe so: Firefox 3 performs like a dying elephant, and risks squandering browser aficionados' goodwill.
Light a fire under it, Fox!

This is opinion.
I like Safari.
Firefox is only good for some applications.

Please fix it.

Not only that, but there is no Mac version of Chrome yet, not to mention IE8.
Only an idiot would run any version of IE, on any platform.

The difference: Explorer 8 shows all ads on every page. Firefox deletes all ads for a nice clean web page. The Explorer is faster than Firefox, which has become a tad bloated with extensions. Safari is the fastest if you're counting milliseconds, and it displays ads. After two years with Firefox I don't notice any great lag with loading a page, it's fast enough; downloading is good too. And the zero flashing crap on a page is a relief.
