Ford stock surged today, growing over 9% to pass $7.50 per share. This is not a yearly high for Ford stock, but, considering the sad state of affairs for automakers these days, it's good news for Detroit. Ford's hybrids have been selling at a rate above that of hybrids in general, and Ford is enjoying the benefits of the Cash for Clunkers program. Currently, due to the bailouts, Ford is the only one of the Big Three that's still publicly traded.
This is how Ford's stock is doing at the moment.
