Forget about Wardriving, the new thing is WarCarting

Students at MIT have invented a new craze in WiFi network security: Warcarting, using an abandonned shopping cart stuffed with computers and antennas to go hunting for wireless networks, wireless phones and all kinds of fun stuff. Htey are creating a new kind of trash chic in the IT security world and are becoming the talk of the town in Boston after getting an injuction from the Boston Transit Authority, preventing to present their findings at the DefCon conference last weekend: they managed to hack into the RFID - Smartcards used for fare collection in Boston. This is the same system just put in place in Montreal...
