The Freedom Tower is changing its' name to One World Trade Center. The tower originally named Freedom Tower to show the country's triumph over terrorism is a 1,776-foot skyscraper that is replacing the towers destroyed on Sept. 11, 2001.

Chairman Anthony Coscia
believes 1 World Trade Center is the name easiest for people to identify with and is the buildings legal name. The name change however has nothing to do with the affiliation between the building and its first commercial tenant, Vantone. Vantone is a Chinese real estate giant and coincidentally, the name of the building was changed after board members voted to sign a 21-year lease with Vantone.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Chairman Anthony Coscia says the agency refers to the building as One World Trade Center. He says it's the building's legal name and "the one that's easiest for people to identify with."
