Fring iPhone Video Conference App: Puts the CON in Conference
So the iPhone finally offers video calls, chat, conferences, or whatever terminology you prefer and it's legal to boot. Fring, the iPhone app at hand, really puts the con in video conference: it's one-way video chat meaning either you can watch your friend or vice versa, that's it.
To be fair though, it's not necessarily Fring's fault, remember that the iPhone camera is on the back of the handset so if both parties are looking at the screen then they'll be looking at what's in front of the other person's iPhone. Yeah, yeah, it sounds confusing but it really isn't.
But do you really find this all that shocking? Keep in mind Apple and their history of bad designs, I mean really, the iPod: what a joke, iMac: embarrassing, and those Macbooks: please.
But who knows, this could be a whole new issue: you thought 'sexting' was bad, imagine the possibilities with video as a medium...
