Frontier Airlines, based in Denver, flies a fleet of 55 Airbus A318 and A319 aircraft. Each airplane has a distinct animal painted on the tail, representing the wildlife of North America. Frontier names each of the animals to add character to its service.
On the tail of this Airbus A319 (N940FR) in San Diego is Jack, a snowshoe hare. This is one of my favorite tails.
