Gold price tumbles to two-year low
The price of gold has dropped to its lowest level for more than two years today, plunging by six per cent in morning trading.
The falls come on top of a ten per cent fall over the past six months – and follow a 5.3 per cent slide on Friday.
The price of the precious metal dropped by more than $30 in a matter of minutes at one point this morning. At 4.45pm the gold spot price was down almost 9 per cent today, at $1,370.
