Google has added a new service to it's Gmail Chat feature, since this morning it is possible to have video and voice chats with other Gmail contacts.

This new feature is a direct threath to eBay's Skype service which is still the leading voip chatclient. the board of eBay will probably view this move of Google with great supision. Although the new Google Video & Voice Chat lacks the Skype Out feature to make calls to landline and cellphones.

Also the other Google competitors are lackig behind again. Microsoft was working hard on their cloud computing services, called Azure. However, this service does not include an integrated webbased messenger with video and voice capabilities. Yahoo! on the other hand has already integrated their Yahoo! Messenger in their webmail application. However, also Yahoo! lacks the video and voice functionality.

When combined with the new posibilities of Google labs for Gmail, this video and voice chat make Gmail a complete tool. Google labs already offered the option to integrate Google Calendar and Google Docs within Gmail.

Thus one has everything at hand: email, chat (text, video&voice), calendar and documents, whatelse does one need?
