Google Trends Is Down: Why is Google Trends Down?

Google Trends is down it seems at the time of this post. Google Trends of course is what news organizations use to (from CNN to Now Pulbic) to get a barometer of what people are searching for on the Interent.
The screen grab shows Google Trends stuck of February 24th and there is now way to advance to February 25th.
Call Google Trends an online barometer of sorts of things that interest internet surfers is increasingly becoming an influential factor in deciding what get's covered. Balloon Boy trending? let's cover it. Tiger Woods? wall-to-wall coverage. At its best Google Trends is a fascinating snap shot of the Zeitgeist at worst Google Trends is a reflection of the salacious and prurient.
Either way does anyone know what happened to Google Trends? Some blame Tiger Woods
Once Google Trends is back I wonder if Google Trends Is Down will become the top Google trend?
As a colleague said that would be very meta.

The idea of a page telling us what we should be searching for is somewhat odd.
On the other hand, "The Salacious and the Prurient." is a stellar name for an album.
