Google has released a new easter egg for this holiday season and it appears to be a countdown clock to the 2010 New Year.
All you have to do is go to the Google homepage, and click on the 'I'm feeling lucky' button.
A countdown clock in big blue letters will appear and you can countdown all the way to 12am January 1st 2010 if you like. If you have no New Years plans you can also spend it with the Google clock.
The countdown ticks down every second, and through the help of an online time converter, it seems to be counting down to the stroke of midnight on New Years Day, signalling the start of 2010

Now spending time with the Google clock on New Years Eve would be so exciting:). I want a winter over countdown clock for Christmas:)

This is not a countdown to New Year's. It is a countdown to when Google takes over the world. The relation to January 1st is merely a coincidence.

putting asside the fact it's only a couple of days until new years and it's quite obvious it's counting down to that very moment, everyone has been using countdown converters and maths to work out it's exact expiry, when infact, it runs of your own computer clock...changing the time changes the countdown :)
