The Great California Garage Sale... this isn't political commentary about the state of California's finances, but a quick story of an actual event: the Great California Garage Sale, during which all sorts of state government-owned stuff, from SUVs to office furniture, will get sold off. From computers to Blackberrys to motor vehicles, California is cleaning house, and so you can score. Items will be sold by traditional auction in Sacramento; via craigslist; and on ebay. Check the Great California Garage Sale site for more info. (Note: the computer stuff looks kind of old)
A neat twist is that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will be autographing the sun visors of the vehicles to be sold on ebay
The DGS also began auctioning a selection of vehicles on eBay. The vehicles, which include a range of sedans, SUVs and vans, have all been autographed by Schwarzenegger.
The event takes place from August 28-29.
Okay, so it is sort of a commentary on the state of California's finances. And a commentary on some office chairs that are... not pleasing to the eye.

I'm not sure, but either they won't make that much money, or they plan on selling a lot of outdated $4 mobile phones.
