I do like green eggs and ham.
I like to eat them in a house.
I'd like to eat them with a mouse.
I'd like to eat them here or there.
I'd like to eat them anywhere!

All good things take time but sometimes, you must strike while the metal's hot.

Observe your thoughts; they can become words.
Listen to your words; they can become actions.
Observe your actions; they can become habits.
Observe your habits; they can become character.
Examine your character; it becomes your destiny.

Google is working miracles in transportation and communication:
Google car
http://translate.google.com/
The first link connects to an article about Google's 'smart car' which drives itself. The second is about their FREE translation services. It's absolutely incredible. Not only can you translate web pages and free-form text, you can instantaneously translate chats from-to English to-from virtually any major language!

Please look at the attached images. In the first, there's the relevant part of a screen capture which shows how Google-translate can translate from English to Chinese. Notice that you can also listen to either quote! This is a wonderful feature! Then, to test the accuracy of the translation, i copied the Chinese text back into another page which translated Chinese to English and see the result: perfect! (Of course, i did not use highfalutin language / jargon / tech-speak, but for the purposes of everyday chat, it obviously works.) The final image reflects Google-translate's use in dynamic chat. Normally, you would have four 'members' to this chat: you, your friend, a Google-bot which translates English to your friend's language, and a bot that does the reverse.

In the chat (initiated through Gmail-chat; you must first add the bots as friends), you can see that anything typed in Chinese is automatically translated to English by one bot - and - anything typed in English is automatically translated to Chinese. Of course, you can choose any languages you need (not just Chinese and English). The website for the bots can be found on the following page: http://www.google.com/support/talk/bin/topic.py?topic=1190

It took me a bit to set up the process the first time (to add the correct bots as friends and understand how to initiate a group text-chat), but once done once - it's a breeze thereafter..

It takes quite a bit to impress me technologically; a friend just showed me his new 3D TV yesterday and i had to force gestures of appreciation.. That kind of technology does not especially impress me.. What impresses me is self-driving cars and FREE auto-translation services.. Google deserves kudos!

I worry when the two technologies merge and we get the HAL 9000 of cars. *shudder*
