Harold Camping Sticks to October 21, 2011 Judgement Day Prediction

Master troll Harold Camping, who makes a habit of predicting the Rapture, is sticking to his guns about the Rapture happening on October 21.

Since May 21 came and went without anybody flying up into the sky, Camping needed another date with which to rally fear and fervor, so, lo and behold, he chose October 21.

Basically, Harold Camping says that you're going to miss Halloween this year if you're selected for the evangelical version of the Los Angeles round of American Idol.

Harold Camping was wrong in 1994, and he was wrong in May, so third time lucky... right?

So, Will the Rapture Happen This Time?

No, of course not. If you're an evangelical Christian, you should really know better by now: Harold Camping has no idea what he's talking about. Hey, someone's gotta say it.

So, when October 21 comes and goes as it does every year, Camping will probably choose December 21, 2012 as the next Judgement Day. At this point, there are so many of them that they should be stripped of proper-noun status.

However, if you want to have a laugh, you can go around town leaving piles of clothes with handwritten notes that say, "Peace Out!".

Dysfunctional Parrot

As a Christian myself, I decided to have some fun with my co-workers last May 21...you remember, when we were raptured?  Anyway, I worked the night shift and I brought in a spare set of clothes and spread them out complete with a semi-spilled coffee cup on the floor.  When the day shift arrived it made for a good joke. That's all Harold Camping will be remembered as.  Just a joke.  Tragic.
