Pay-cable network HBO is launching HBO Go their very own web-streaming service, a la Netflix, providing on-demand movies and television shows directly from a computer. But there's a catch, unless you're one of the lucky 38 million subscribers to either HBO or Cinemax you will not be offered HBO Go, according to the company itself.

HBO Go is the first tangible platform from Time Warner as a part of their "TV Everywhere" initiative. Time Warner and Comcast announced last year their plans of creating a system allowing subscribers to access television shows and movies affiliated with the conglomerates.

HBO Go will offer newer film titles than Netflix as per the network's huge spending on big name new release titles for airing on pay-cable.
