Myles Miller in the Blue Room at City Hall- WHAT CAN BLOW a 68 year old billionaire's mind? Those fine folks at Shazam Entertainment Ltd which created the "Shazam" iPad app sure can.

Bloomberg gave the application high praises at a press conference, Monday announcing a city service that lets New York City residents see how much water they are using four times a day through a city run website.

Shazam is an application that uses a cell phone's built-in microphone to gather a brief sample of music being played to identify an otherwise unidentifiable song.

Bloomberg who uses his iPad to read news, speeches and to check up on what NowPublic.com  is writing about, has been showing it off all around town.

When Queen Elizabeth II came to New York last week to open the British Garden of Remembrance at Hanover Square, Bloomberg read his speech from his iPad.

As is with technology a glitch in the tablet computer's system in June, leaked the Mayor's personal email address.

The mayor shrugged off the mishap saying, "To me it wasn't that big of a deal."

Bloomberg added, "it shouldn't be pretty hard to figure out my e-mail address and if you send me an e-mail and I don't want to read it, I don't open it."

I'd like to believe that, if Bloomberg is reading our humble site, he's following the Paul the Octopus coverage closely.
