Hillary explains her comments to the Argus Leader ed board
NEW YORK, N.Y.    ----   May 30, 2008   ----   When Gannett announced its partnership last month with a small NY-based Net livestreaming startup called Mogulus, it never imagined that the joint venture would impact the Democratic Primaries.

If it wasn't for Mogulus, the press would have never heard about Clinton's RFK remarks, made during a live interview last Friday with the Argus Leader S.D. editorial board - exclusively broadcast live on the newspaper’s website (www.mogulus.com/argus_leader_tv) using Mogulus.

Gannett, the paper's owner, is testdriving Mogulus on its USA Today politics blog and selected dailies, as part of its move into "participatory journalism." Gannett also has a partnership with NowPublic.com.

"Her comment might have gone unnoticed. Without live webcasting it would have taken hours/days for the video to be available from the tape. The Mogulus platform provided an instant recording for distribution to news television stations," said Max Haot, CEO/founder of Mogulus.

More than 500 simultaneous viewers watched the live interview on argus_leader_tv and thousands joined later to watch the recording. The video is now also available in the channel’s on-demand library.
