HR 45 Blair Holt Firearms Licensing and Record of Sales Act of 09
This is a message mostly to all men and women hunters alike, and the general public. Cynical Patriot has an article on this as well.
HR 45 is highly likely to be passed only for the simple fact is, they are only wanting to know where each firearm is in the self proclaimed "Free Country," America. Since Pres. Bush II, the government has taken a major shit on its people, and is continuing to do so. Not only to gun owners and hunters, but the lower class families as well.
The bill HR 45 is stating that when purchasing a firearm you must provide your SS #, your drivers license #, and submit to a psychological evaluation. Failure to do so may result in fines, jail and/or prison time. Don't forget the part where each firearm that you own is going to be taxed $25 per year. Taxed? $25 per year? You read right. This is where many, many gun owners are going to get extremely upset!
Here's the thing. I don't own a gun. The fact that they are going to tax anyone that owns a gun, an asset, that doesn't collect anything except dust from sitting in the gun cabinet from season to season. What about your car? That doesn't collect anything except rust. Now why are they not taxing that?
The thing is, if HR 45 is passed, that means they found an opening in the wall of the 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment was the beginning of our own homeland security that dates back to the late 1700's. Right around the same time (when guns were invented) it was a way of survival. Feeding your family didn't take three or four days to accomplish as it did with bow and arrow.
Petitions need be processed and signed by as many people as possible in order to stop the government from taxing your personal assets that don't generate an income except food. IT NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!!! Contact your local gov. agency, senator, or governor to find out more.

Tax my car? I just paid $304.00 taxes on my wife's 4 year old mini van. How much more you want me to pay?
Better they should tax arrogance and confusion. Seems to be more than enough of both floating around.

Double check your info...I think this bill has been dead in the water for quite some time but is still perpetually circulating the email internet circuit. I'm sure that the contents of the bill have been saved for another time but for now nobody wants to resurrect it...akin to polical suicide. They tried pushing it after The One was elected but it died for the aforementioned reason...

that is quite funny that you both are telling me that this bill is a bunch of bull at the moment... Like you say Roadie, it HAS been dead in the water for quite some time? This was just heard about not to long ago on the radio station frequency 630 am out of Colorado last week I believe. Of course I haven't fully gotten the info on it cuz I haven't found it on the net yet. Oh, and Hugh... It's called an added value tax... Lets say you bought your wife's car for 300 bucks... obviously something wrong with it for that cheap.... You turn around and sell that car for 600 bucks, you will get taxed on that 600 before you even sell it... It's only a hunch to say "It's a guarantee that the 'added value tax' is actually going to happen." Since the government is so damn greedy anyway, you can almost guess what will happen.

How many guns do you want to own, how about a few high caliber machine guns and for hell of it a god damn tank.
25$ yep I really like this bill it should be put through straight away and it then may stop the fanatics that want to be a Rambo the complete one man army. lol
I am of course bias as I hate guns and was brought up in a practicably gun free society. Now I live in a gun society there is a need to have a gun in the house however one is enough.

well babel, there is nothing wrong with being against guns, but there is nothing against owning one or using one either. There are more people out there that own one than dont. some use it for stupid reasons that will get u put in jail, and others use it for reasons as protection, means of survival, and guns that are old enough, they just sit up there on display over the fire place.... I for one, use a gun as means for survival.... Once that one gets old enough I will stop using one and retire it and myself.... but i think it has about another 10 years left in it.... For most hunters.... there are guys/woman out there that have a gun set for ever occasion, long barrel shot gun for long range geese, a double barrel for phesant or grouse, open sighted rifel for deer in thick brush, a scoped rifle for out in the open, a small .22 cal for varments..... Man, the list goes on and on and on.... My neighbor has 16 DIFFERENT guns, one for every season, for every different animal he hunts..... thats what the need for so many guns is..... I hope I answered your question Babel
