Happy Valentine's Day!
This is the cover of the card Kim made for Cris. Inside it said, "Hallmark can suck it.
(How's that for romance?)"
You can't really tell, but the thing next to my eye is heart-shaped.
The quote is from the poem "I carry your heart with me(i carry it in" by ee cummings.
I profusely apologize to the literary reference pool that my first entry is so corny. This is what happens when you join a group on Feb. 13. Here is the full text of the poem:
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
cwd573 - Valentine Design: It's been a while since we had a design assignment! Your task is to design a photo-based valentine, complete with text, etc. You may choose to present only the front of the card, or both the front and the inside (as a diptych). Another option would be to show us the front and then tell us what the inside says in the photo description -- it's up to you. The only real rule is that the card must include a photo (taken this week, of course).
