When it comes to designing your home, some people just got it. And then there are others, like me, who just don't. 

If you fall into the second category, help is here. And it's free so that's always good. IKEA's Planner Tools, free software available for download from the IKEA website, gives you the chance to create 3-D room models to match your rooms at home. Then you can add furniture to your liking, and determine what your furniture will cost before you even walk out of the door.

IKEA even gives you the option to upload your masterpiece to their server and print it out when you get to the store. There are three versions of the software, Kitchen Planner, Bedroom Planner, and Office Planner, and they only work for Windows, so sorry Mac folks...
